Dos Pueblos and Buena were near the top of their games on Thursday, with the visiting Bulldogs ekeing out a 372-376 victory in a Channel League match at Glen Annie Golf Course.
“That’s a really competitive score,” Dos Pueblos coach Rob Schiff said. “The Channel League is a brutal league. Nobody is weak. You could shoot your best score and still not win the match.”
Brett Silvernail shot a 1-under 70 to lead Buena, which is off to a 2-0 start after going 1-7 last year.
“Top to bottom this is the best the league has been in a long time, maybe ever,” said Schiff, whose team is 1-1 and 5-1 overall.
Lane Fuller shot 73 and Carlson Curtis 74 for the Chargers.
