Cardinals edge past Warriors at Rancho, 531-549

Bishop Diego outlasted Carpinteria in a non-league boys golf match Tuesday at Rancho San Marcos, 531-549.

The course was playing extremely difficult with high rough and fast greens.

“I’m sure all players were not happy with their scores but the high rough made it difficult to advance the ball even 20 yards, coupled with the fast greens the scores ballooned,“ said Bishop Co-Coach Marty Herrera.

Carpinteria will attempt to get its revenge on April 7th at Montecito Country club.

Bishop’s record is now 5-3, and will play Thursday in the Frontier League’s second match at Soule Park in Ojai at 1:30 p.m.
