The Cate boys lacrosse team couldn’t hang on to possession and paid for it on Saturday, losing out to Beverly Hills 9-5 in a non-league matchup.
Beverly Hills took an early three-goal lead to start but Cate was able to draw within one before halftime. The Hills responded with three straight scores after the break and the Rams never fully recovered.
Nathan Killea and Albert Lee tallied two goals each for Cate and sophomore Mackie Greason chipped in two assists. Brett Diemer scored and recorded an assist.
