Bakersfield swept all six singles points on Tuesday en route to a 7-2 women’s tennis victory over SBCC. Meghan Schaefer-Heather Hawke and Alex Prince-Kathy Startzman got the only points for the visiting Vaqueros (2-8, 2-7) in doubles. Prince-Startzman are 6-1 on the season.
“Our doubles are strong but their singles are extremely strong,” said coach Debbie Ekola. “Their consistency killed us.”
The Vaqueros will play at Ventura on Thursday and Hancock on Friday.
