After falling behind early due to a disqualification in the relays, the San Marcos girls swimmers roared back and took a 195-141 win at Oxnard Friday.
The 500 freestyle race did the trick for the Royals, as Emily Wheeler (5:43.89), Parinda Sukavivatanachai (5:45.79) and Zoe Kirker (6:00.03) all swam personal bests to finish 1-2-3 in the event.
“That event really put us in control of the meet because we outscored them 13-3,” said coach Brian Roth.
Emilia Wakamatsu also swam a personal best to win the 200 IM in 2:36.71.
