The Bishop Diego girls basketball team shared the responsiblities in a 49-33 Frontier League win at Malibu on Tuesday night.
Six different Cardinals scored in a 14-point first quarter and the defense combined to hold the Sharks to only four points.
Heather Aijian and Jennifer Jimenez ended up with a team-high 11 points each and Dalise Spence added eight. Center Janelle Kohler tallied eight rebounds.
The victory improves the Cardinals, who moved up to No. 8 in the latest V-A polls, to 15-8 overall and 7-2 in league.
Bishop Diego will honor its two seniors, Jimenez and Aijian, before Thursday’s tilt with Carpinteria. The Cardinals host the Warriors at the Brickhouse on Senior Night, with Carpinteria having a chance to tie Bishop in league with a victory.
The Cardinals own a 14-point win from the first meeting.
