Westmont’s Moore signs CIF’s third-leading scorer

John Moore, head coach of Westmont Men’s Basketball, has announced the signing of Jordan Sachs of La Habre High School. Sachs, who is averaging 28.6 points per game and has posted 40 or more points in three games this season, shows a great deal of promise.

“Jordan is a very special player,” said Moore. “He is much like the recruits we have had of late, particularly Dan Rasp and Andrew Schmalbach who were able to contribute immediately in their freshman years. We expect Jordan to do the same type of thing in his initial campaign.”

Sachs, who is currently the third highest scorer in the CIF Southern Section, is shooting 55% from the floor (183 of 332), including 44% from beyond the arc (24 of 54).

“He has all the tools to be one of the great Warriors along the lines of Mitch Pierce, Adrian Phillips and Chris Clark,” continued Moore. “Jordan is a combination of all three of those players with a scorer’s mentality; like very few players we’ve had a commitment from in recent years.”
