Dos Pueblos’ Connor Dorais (160) and Nick Wagner (285) wrestled their way into the quarterfinals for Dos Pueblos Friday at the Battle for the Belt Tournament in Temecula Valley.
Raul Yescas is still alive in the consolation bracket at 215 pounds.
“This is the toughest tournament we’ve been in all year, but I was hoping we’d have a couple more guys still alive for tomorrow,” said coach Anthony Califano. “It;s been an educational experience.”
Dorais faces Patrick Martinez, the state’s third-ranked 160-pounder, on Saturday.
