Chargers tax Royals in crosstown matchup

The Dos Pueblos girls water polo team exhibited its superior talent on Thursday, methodically disposing of San Marcos 11-1 in the Chargers’ pool.

Reigning SBART athlete of the week Sami Hill recorded 16 saves in the match, a big reason why the Chargers were able to hold the Royals scoreless in the first half.

Kodi HIll led Dos Pueblos scorers with three goals. Alex Hill, Tiera Schroeder and Nicole Morelos all had a pair for the No.-3 ranked Chargers.

Parinda Sukivivatanachai posted the Royals’ score in the third quarter.

The Chargers host the undefeated Laguna Beach next Thursday before the Tournament of Champions begins the following day.

San Marcos has a game this weekend, traveling to Thousand Oaks for two games on Saturday. The Royals face T.O. in the morning followed by Tesoro.
