Torrey Rasmussen had five saves in goal and freshman Shirley Benitez had a solid match after being pulled up to the varsity squad, but the Carpinteria girls soccer team came up short against visiting St. Bonaventure on Friday, 2-0.
The Warriors gave up both goals in the first half, but came out strong and allowed only two shots after halftime.
“I wasn’t disappointed because I thought we played decently,” said coach Lucy Carleton, who also said that Ariana Martinez “exciting and feisty” soccer in the match.
