The Bishop Diego boys soccer team put the hurt on visiting Kilpatrick on Wednesday, posting a 5-0 victory behind multiple-goal performances from Sam Limon and Jeff Mandrel.
Limon recorded the hat trick while Mandrel found the back of the net twice for the Cardinals, who improve to 4-4-2 after the non-league win. Bishop Diego is 0-2 on Tri-Valley League play.
Junior keeper Garret Garcia completed his third shutout of the season, and head coach Jesus Landeros said Garcia owed gratitude to a strong performance from his defensive backline of Sam Verhasselt, David Pilkington and Brad Waples.
