Seth Judson and Sean Henderson each scored Wednesday to lead Laguna Blanca’s boys soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Ojai Valley School, putting the Owls in first place in the Condor League.
Judson ran a give-and-go with Ryan Richardson that got through OVS’ formidable defense and got Laguna on the board just before halftime. Henderson capped off a physical second half by taking the ball at midfield and getting it to within 20 yards before blasting it by the keeper.
“A win is a win, but I felt we could have controlled the ball better,” said coach Kevin Shertzer, who pointed out that the Owls are in an “illusory first place” having played one more game than other teams who are a point back.
Laguna (3-1-2 Condor League) plays at Midland next week.
