Dos Pueblos’ Michelle Gee recorded a hat trick and Marina Plesons tacked on two more goals, but the Dos Pueblos girls soccer team wasn’t finished in an 8-0 blowout of visiting Paramount on Tuesday.
Erin Ristig, Claire Mathews and Chelsea Escalera added scores, helping the Chargers improve to 4-6-1 with their Channel League opener on Thursday at home against Ventura.
“We had a very, very productive holiday break where we worked through some issues,” said DP’s head coach Kimberly Williams-Evans, who likes how her team is playing heading into league. The Chargers went 3-3 in the Buena Tournament and the Newbury Park Tournament.
Williams-Evans thought it was one of her team’s best attacking performances. Several of Dos Pueblos’ goals came on putting away loose balls around the goal.
Goalkeeper Meagan Bellefeuille recorded the shutout.
