The Bishop Diego boys basketball team fell to defeat once again Friday night, losing 57-32 to Nordhoff at home.
Despite a close game in the first half, the Rangers sunk a 3-pointer within the last few seconds of the second quarter. Cardinals head coach Ray Vazquez said his team was unable to come back from a five-point deficit in the beginning of the second half.
“They shot the ball very well, but we weren’t able to take care of it,” Vazquez said. “We had a hard time scoring in the second. We just have to remember that we are a team, win or lose.”
Connor MacGillivray led Bishop Diego with 10 points and Art Gonzalez with 12 rebounds.
The Cardinals (1-5, 6-14) will face Santa Paula on Monday at home.
