Lizzy Willett scored in the 10th minute as the San Marcos girls soccer team took a 1-0 lead into halftime, Nordhoff responded with a pair of second-half scores in a 2-1 win over the Royals (2-6-1) in the Buena Tournament Saturday.
“We played really well. We were connecting on our passes and making lots of opportunities to score,” said coach Christy Lozano, who also said that Jenny-Ann Martinez and Emma Campbell had solid games.
