SBCC fell behind 31-23 at halftime on Monday night and went on to drop a 77-65 women’s basketball decision to Shasta in the semifinals of the Foothill Holiday Classic at Los Altos.
The Vaqueros (13-8) made just 17-of-33 (51.5 percent) from the free-throw line and had their three-game winning streak snapped. Shasta converted 22-26 from the charity stripe.
Nikki Graham paced SBCC with 18 points and Francesca DeAngelis had 10.
The Vaqueros will play Sequoias for third place on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
