Connor Murphy accounted for nearly a third of Laguna Blanca’s point total in a 76-22 trouncing of visiting Valley Christian.
Murphy knocked down seven 3-point shots on his way to 23 points to lead the Owls to their third win. Laguna travels to Villanova on Wednesday in a rematch of last week’s season opener, which the Owls won.
Freshman Spencer Michaels led a strong effort from the bench, according to assistant coach Shantay Legans. Michaels dished out a team-high six assists and added six points.
The Owls put the game out of reach in the second quarter, when they outscored Valley Christian 25-1 to take a 44-10 lead at halftime.
