It was another narrow loss for the Dos Pueblos girls soccer team on Thursday, this one coming against an unbeaten Righetti, 1-0.
“On the bad side, we lost. But on the good side, we beat a team that’s been defeating others by a lot of goals,” said DP coach Kimberly Williams-Evans.
The 7-0 Warriors’ margin of victory is well over three goals per game this season, and their only score against DP (1-6) came on a penalty kick in the second half.Coach Williams-Evans said that her back line continues to play strong, citing the play of Kristen Witchey, Katie Boehm, Erin Ristig, Nicole Gee and Kelsey Baker.
The Chargers begin the Buena Tournament Friday.
