The Dos Pueblos girls basketball team returned to action after a brief holiday break, defeating Paso Robles 54-43 on the opening day of the Righetti Tournament.
“We had a big enough lead to weather their run at the end,” said Maynard Pilapil, citing a 20-plus point first half lead that slowly shrunk during the second half.
The 8-6 Chargers have two games on Saturday – the first against Pioneer Valley at 1 p.m. followed by a 5 p.m. matchup with the hosts — the third meeting between the two schools already this season.
