The Carpinteria girls volleyball team swept Malibu on Tuesday, but had to fight off the Sharks in each set for a 27-25, 29-27, 26-24 Tri-Valley League victory.
Warrior head coach Katie Dolge had a balanced attack led by Caitlin Wallace’s 11 kills. Senior captain Hannah Denitz dug 13 balls and Erin Harris pitched in with 6 blocks.
“I was happy with the win, but not the energy,” admitted Dolge, who blamed the close game-scores partly on a poor effort from the service line.
Carpinteria wraps up its season on Thursday with a home match against Oak Park on senior night.
