MOORPARK — SBCC was up 23-20 in Game 1 of a first-place showdown with No. 5 Moorpark on Saturday but couldn’t get the final points and the Raiders went on to post a 25-23, 25-20, 25-20 WSC women’s volleyball sweep.
The loss snapped a four-game winning streak by SBCC (7-10, 5-2). Moorpark improved to 17-4 and 7-0.
“We couldn’t get the sideout we needed in Game 1,” said Vaquero coach Ed Gover. “Our team battled but Moorpark is a good team and it’s tough playing in their gym. We couldn’t get the breaks we needed.”
