Vanesa Villa of Dos Pueblos fired an 81 at par-72 Mountain Meadows golf course on Thursday to lead Dos Pueblos, but none of the Chargers would ultimately move on in individual CIF competition.
Stacy Kim of Brea High School shot an impressive 68 to lead the field, which had a cut-off score of 79.
“It was a tough course today, and what the girls are really focused on is the team finals on Monday,” said coach Rob Schiff.
Nicole Bullemer finished at 82, Emily Fox at 83 and Anna Samson at 88.
Monday’s team competition will be held at River Ridge Golf Course in Oxnard.
