Warriors succumb to tough Oak Park squad

Hannah Denitz had seven digs, three aces and five kills while Megan McMahon had 11 kills for the Carpinteria girls volleyball team Tuesday, but the Warriors ultimately fell to host Oak Park 16-25, 25-22, 25-14, 25-18.

“They performed well,” said Carpinteria coach Katie Dolge of her players. “The energy was a little low because there wasn’t much energy in the gym. Our girls definitely get pumped up with a lot of noise.”

The Warriors (2-6, 1-4 Tri-Valley League) play at Malibu on Wednesday, with a playoff berth still a strong possibility.
