The Carpinteria girls volleyball team got its second sweep in as many days on Wednesday, this time taking down Cate 25-23, 25-15, 25-19 in a non-league matchup played in the Warriors’ gym.
Opposite Megan McMahon led the team in kills with nine. Middle Erin Harris knocked down five. On the defensive side, coach Katie Dolge singled out Monique Enamorado, who had seven digs.
Overall, Dolge said her team did a much better job of serving against the Rams that really helped in not giving the other team so many easy points.
“Cate was playing great in game one and had us a little frazzled,” said Dolge of the competitive first set. But the Warriors (3-5, 1-3) settled in on their home court and marched to their second straight victory.
Carp hits the court again next Tuesday with a Tri-Valley League match against Oak Park, the No. 5-ranked team in Division II-A.
