Nick Sklar gave the Dons water polo team a boost with a 2-goal, 4-assist performance against the Bulldogs of Buena in a Channel League match on Thursday.
Santa Barbara improved its league record to 5-1 with two matches remaining. San Marcos is Tuesday and Dos Pueblos on Thursday. The DP match will be for the Channel League championship.
The Dons had several scorers other than Sklar, including Paul Davis, Ken Myers, Lautaro Fesembeck and Brendan Kerwin-McElroy all scoring twice.
Jeff Churchman and Kerwin-McElroy were standouts on the defensive end, nabbing four steals each. Goalkeeper Hunter Ploch supplemented his six saves with three steals and three assists.
The Dons are 19-7 overall.
