Anna Samson shot a 1-over 36 to take home medalist honors for the second straight match and Dos Pueblos beat San Marcos 200-242 Thursday at par-35 Glen Annie Golf Course.
“It’s great for Anna because two years ago as a sophomore she was one of the last players on the team. She’s playing very well,” said coach Rob Schiff.
The coach said that the Chargers are aiming to break 200 in every match.
“If we want to consider ourselves safe for advancing past the first round of playoffs we’ll need to shoot 200 or better,” he said.
Alexandria Peretiako led the Royals with a round of 43.
For now, it’s all about the little things for DP (13-1, 7-0 Channel League).
“It’s really a matter of how we can shave a few strokes off of each player,” said Schiff. “It’s about trying to have only one three-putt per match and making every putt within four feet.”
