The San Marcos girls golf team began the second leg of Channel League play on Wednesday with a forfeit win over short-handed Ventura.
The Royals enjoyed a round with Katie Blum, Zaira Barbosa, Cat Lefemine and Alexandria Peretiako all turning in scorecards within a few strokes of each other. Barbosa’s 48 led the group at par-37 Santa Barbara Golf Club.
The Royals head into the home-stretch of their season with a Tuesday match against Santa Barbara going a long ways in determining the Channel League’s final standings.
