The Cate boys water polo team found itself in unfriendly waters on Tuesday at Rio Mesa, falling 17-3 in a league match.
Flynn McGuire scored two of Cate’s goals and Conrad Kurth had the other.
The Rams were crippled by ejections, having eight of them that resulted in more than a few Rio Mesa goals.
Cate returns home on Friday for antoher league match against Hueneme at 3:15 p.m.
