Arielle Kubetschek and the Cate girls tennis team methodically picked apart crosstown rival Laguna Blanca on Saturday, cruising to a 16-2 Condor League victory.
Kubetschek, the Rams’ No. 1 singles player, won three sets with a combined game score of 18-3. The doubles team of Louisa Dick-Valdez and Lela Puckett did two better, dropping just one game in three wins.
The Rams improve to 5-4 on the season and 3-0 in league. The two schools face each other once more this season on Nov. 1. In the meantime, both schools take on non-league crosstown schools on Wednesday. Cate hosts San Marcos and the Owls play Bishop Diego at Muni.
