Just as it was in football last Friday, an Oaks Christian drubbing of Bishop Diego was expected. But, just as in football, the Cardinals were able to finish with their chins up.
“We actually had a decent offense,” said coach Joe Reiken after his team was swept 25-11, 25-13, 25-11.
Haley Fuller and Diana Sleep had five blocks apiece for Bishop Diego.
“I thought we played alright. We earned every one of those points,” said Reiken. “But they had six excellent players, and we just have no answer for that this year.”
The Cardinals (1-8, 0-8 Tri-Valley League) move on to another ranked opponent in La Reina on Tuesday.
