Sarah Mendoza “sacrificed herself time and again” defensively according to coach John Gannon, and the Santa Barbara girls volleyball bounced back from two straight losses in a 25-10, 25-16, 25-23 win over Ventura on Thursday.
“We came out real strong in the first game with a lot of intensity and desire to get back on the winning track,” said Gannon.
Emily Rottman had six kills in the first game alone, and Gannon said that Claire Woolf had an outstanding night playing libero for the Dons (18-3, 4-1 Channel League).
