Sophie Harris and Kelcey Chaffin had five kills apiece and the Dos Pueblos volleyball team cruised to a 25-12, 25-16, 25-16 home win over Santa Ynez despite a last-minute change in the offense.
DP (19-3) typically runs a 6-2 offense with two setters, Sammie Brown and Paige Crane. But with Crane injured, Brown stepped in an ran the whole darn show.
“She did a great job distributing the ball,” said assistant coach Tina Brown.
Carly and Sam Wopat combined for 15 kills on the night.
“We did a great job,” said Brown. “We served well and we passed well. It didn;t matter who was on the court.”
