Coach Jeff Ashton said that Sam Boysel had one of his best all-around matches of the season, but the San Marcos boys water polo team was still overwhelmed by host Ventura on Tuesday, 21-5.
Boysel had a pair of goals and Travis Johnson tallied nine saves in the cage. Mac Gostow also had two goals while Ben Kilpatrick tacked on the other.
