Sally Yingst had nine digs and six kills and every Charger got to play in the Dos Pueblos volleyball team’s 25-10, 25-27, 25-22, 25-8 Channel League win over visiting Ventura Tuesday.
“It was a good match,” said coach Dwayne Hauschild. “Everyone had a good time and defensively we did some good things.”
Hannah Powers also had nine digs, while Sam Wopat put away 13 kills and had five aces in the fourth game alone. After a hectic weekend against some of the nation’s top teams at the California Cup, Hauschild said it was nice to be back home.
“It’s just nice to get back home and get in your bed at a reasonable hour,” he said.
DP plays at Buena on Thursday.
