Brittany Gignac battled hard all day, showing her grit in a 7-6 loss against Santa Clara’s top player, and Bishop Diego remained a perfect 7-0 in Frontier League play in a 12-6 win over Santa Clara on Thursday.
“It was an extraordinary effort,” said coach Suzanne Petrie of Gignac’s performance.
The Cardinals (7-3, 7-0) went perfect in doubles sets on the afternoon. Petrie said she has been pleasantly surprised by her team’s success this year. Next up for the Cardinals is Laguna Blanca.
