Bishop Diego freshman Christie Delgadillo put together a solid race on Thursday in Santa Clara at the Frontier League meet, finishing 3rd overall after leading for the first mile and a half.
“She’s showing great improvement,” said Bishop coach Ray Vasquez, who noted that Delgadillo finished just 30 seconds behind the leader after finishing two minutes behind in the first league meet.
Delgadillo’s time was 20 minutes and 32 seconds.
On the boys side, Teddy Sleep broke the 18-minute barrier with a time of 17:54 to finish in 10th place.
