Carly Wopat had a whopping nine blocks and sister Samantha had nine digs in Dos Pueblos’ 25-7, 22-25, 25-13, 25-11 win over visiting Buena on Tuesday at Sovine Gym.
“Defensively, Samantha contributed on a level that can’t be reflected in the box score,” said coach Dwayne Hauschild.
The coach also noted that Catelyn McDonald came in for the third and fourth sets and played a strong match all-around.
It was a hot night outside, and apparently it was inside the gym as well, as Buena’s coach received a double red card and was ejected.
DP meets San Marcos at the Thunderhut on Thursday.
