Carpinteria proved it can hang with the best the Tri-Valley League has to offer, giving host Oaks Christian a solid test in a 25-22, 25-15, 25-23.
Outside hitter Kelci Jones “was all over the court” according to Warriors coach Katie Dolge, amassing 17 digs, two aces and nine kills. Caitlin Wallace also had a solid match with nine kills.
“In game three it was back-and-forth every-other point and at the end they just pulled out the last couple of points,” said Dolge. “The girls were working really hard and digging balls.”
Next up for Carpinteria (1-3, 0-1 TVL) is La Reina.
