Freshman Shannon Lynott scored in the 44th minute and Laura Spivack added one in the 70th for the Vaqueros, who dominated possession in a nonconference game against L.A. Mission at La Playa Stadium. Lynott’s shot from the 20 yards out on the right side bounced off the left post and into the net. SBCC (3-0) has outscored its first three opponents 17-2.
“We dominated the whole game,” said coach John Sisterson. “They didn’t get a single shot on goal. We hit the post twice and the score could have been much higher. We didn’t play as well as we had been playing in the first half but we created numerous opportunities.”
