Gabrielle Wildfeuer took five minutes off of her previous mark at Lake Casitas and Ian Miley shaved off four minutes on a great day for the San Marcos cross country team at the Ojai Invitational.
“The kids really stepped up. This is an opportunity to compete more at an individual level instead of as a team, and I think we had about 20 kids come back with a medal,” said coach Lawrence Stehmeier.
Katelyn Rheinschild and Reed Peterson had particularly strong races, according to the coach.
