San Marcos went undefeated in doubles play Wednesday as the host Royals took down the visiting Cate Rams 13-5. Amy Kinsella and Shelby Zylstra teamed up to go 3-0, as did Amy Ransohoff and Christine Pearson. Liz Morris-Annie Battles were 2-0, and Jackie Gregoire-Kelsey Fernandez won their only set.
“It is always nice to get a lot of people out there playing and having them all come away with wins is a big boost of confidence… Our subs coming in and beating their No. 1 doubles team was the highlight of the day,” said San Marcos (4-2, 1-1 Channel League) coach Kara Warkentin.
Arielle Kubetschek went 3-0 in singles play for the Rams.
The Royals play Santa Barbara on Thursday.
