Middle blocker Jenn Waddill put down 14 kills and fellow middle Grace Conner had four stuff blocks as San Marcos’ spikers prevailed at Oxnard 25-21, 25-14, 23-25, 25-22.
“We served tough and played well,” said coach Roger Kuntz.
The coach said that Hannah Warwick continued to pass with precision and that Anna Gerngross did well attacking on the right side.
The Royals host Buena to open up Channel League play on Thursday.
