Reserves shine for SBHS spikers

Jordan Fuller once again had her own cheering section as the No. 1 Santa Barbara girls volleyball team swept visiting Buena 25-15, 25-17, 25-19 on Tuesday night at J.R. Richards Gym.

According to assistant coach Lee Carlander, Fuller did well in the match as did reserve libero Sarah Mendoza.

“She passed on serve receive at a very good clip,” said Carlander of Mendoza.

Rose Lewis stepped in for starting setter Natalie Guerra in each set to run the offense, and Carlander also note the performances of Jessica Ullmeyer and Torrie Armstrong.

Mimi Cuttrell put away 10 kills for Santa Barbara, which travels to play Buena on Thursday.
