A well-rounded night of volleyball led to a 25-19, 25-19, 22-25, 25-19 win for the Dos Pueblos girls spikers at Ventura.
“Our girls looked comfortable and it was one of our better nights chemistry-wise,” said coach Dwayne Hauschild. “We have to give credit to Ventura. They were in every point.”The trio of Carly Wopat, Caitlin Racich and Sami Brown combined for 41 kills on the night, while Laura Penner had five kills and a pair of nice blocks in the middle, according to Hauschild.
“Everybody got to play and contribute, but we were pushed. I’m real positive about it,” said Hauschild.
Dos Pueblos (9-2, 1-0 Channel League) hosts Buena on Tuesday at Sovine Gym.
