Outside hitters Casey Griffin and Hilary Williamson led the Cate attack as the Rams went 2-9 in the Carpinteria girls volleyball tournament on Saturday.
Maddie Firestone played middle and made some key blocks, while Evelyn Weis had some nice line shots on the right side, according to coach Anna Alldredge. Emma Birrell and Addison Mayfield were solid at libero, and setters Linzy Prudden and Molly Sprague ran the 6-2 offense effectively all day, said Alldredge.
Cate plays next at Carpinteria on October 8th.
