The doubles teams of Julia Johnson-Sylvana Dalsgaard and Heather Aijian-Noelle Brown each picked up victories as the Bishop Diego girls tennis team won its first match of the year with a 10-8 decision at Villanova.
Devon Stein swept her sets on the singles side for the Cardinals (1-3).
“The singles have been doing well, and the doubles were a pleasant surprise today. We’re very proud of them,” said coach Suzanne Petrie.
Bishop Diego opens Frontier League play against Nordhoff on Tuesday.
