YOU BE THE JUDGE: Two charging calls affect UNLV-UCSB outcome

The referees whistled James Nunnally for two charging fouls at critical points in Wednesday's UNLV-UCSB thriller in the Thunderdome. The second call sent Nunnally to the bench in the second overtime with five fouls. UNLV gets the better of UCSB in double-overtime classic

UCSB's biggest crowd of the season of 5,516 was treated to a double-overtime thrill ride at the Thunderdome.

James Nunnally scored 24 points, Orlando Johnson added 21 and UCSB parlayed an 18-0 run midway through the first half to take control of a close game en route to an 89-56 win over visiting Santa Clara on Tuesday night.Santa Clara (1-1) took a 17-14 lead on a steal and breakaway slam dunk by Niyi Harrison, but that’s when the Gauchos (2-0) took control.
