Fullerton full of quarterfinal results
The Fullerton Tennis Patrons hosted its 65th annual designated tournament in February, accepting 1,144 player entries to make it the biggest tournament ever held by them. Former Santa Barbara High standout Daniel Nguyen and partner JT Sundling are one victory away from a doubles title at the USTA Junior Tennis National Hardcourt Championships in Michigan. The top-seeded duo will be challenged by eighth-seeded Sekou Coker Bangoura and Nathan Pasha in Sunday's final. Daniel Nyugen and Spencer Simon are still in the hunt for a junior tennis USTA Hardcourt National Championship this week in Kalamazoo, Washington, and Lauren Stratman is in San Diego vying for a girls national title.
