SBCC’s Kelly Mayer used positive thinking to set a meet record in the 74th annual Easter Relays track and field meet on Friday at La Playa Stadium.The collegiate competition of the Easter Relays was Friday, with the high school athletes taking over La Playa Stadium on Saturday. Health and fitness.Those are the keys to success for the SBCC track and field teams, according to Scott Fickerson."We need to keep everyone healthy and train hard on a daily basis," said the Vaqueros' second-year head coach. Mark Moreno captured the top prize for the SBCC men's cross country squad and Seanie Rigney led the women to a first-place finish on Friday at the Bakersfield Invitational.Moreno, a sophomore from Chino, topped a field of 96 runners with a 21:03 clocking on the 4-mile course.
