Cuesta outscored SBCC 31-10 in the final 10 minutes of the first half Saturday night and went on to post an 85-73 men’s basketball win in the season finale for both teams at San Luis Obispo.The Vaqueros (7-20, 3-9 WSC North) made just 23.5 percent in the first half, including 1-13 on 3-pointers. SBCC parlayed hot second-half shooting and a 14-6 closing run to rally past Cuesta 70-67 on Wednesday night in a WSC North men’s basketball game at the Sports Pavilion.Santa Barbara shot 62.5 percent in the second half (10-16) and 53.5 percent for the game. Saddleback used a big second half to defeat SBCC 79-53 on Thursday in the consolation final of the Hancock men’s basketball tournament in Santa Maria. After a strong start, SBCC couldn’t overcome 26 turnovers on Friday in an 85-70 men’s basketball loss to Miramar at the Southwestern Tournament in Chula Vista.Richard Somdah had 21 points and six rebounds for the Vaqueros (1-2), who jumped out to a 16-7 lead.
